We had a wonderful experience working with Cal Turf to re-grade, improve drainage, and create a walkway in our side yard! Our project was small, but we felt like we received the same attention and quality of service as any larger project would have. This team did not cut corners, kindly answered our questions, and provided sound advice. The finished result is both functional and well-done! Parker was a fabulous contact! Jaclyn BuntingOctober 27, 2023Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We loved working with Parker and Ryan at Cal Turf. They did an amazing job at taking our ideas and turning them into a beautiful backyard. We appreciated their knowledge and guidance throughout the process including learning about the different artificial turf, how everything was going to be laid out and more. This was our first backyard we had to build from the ground up and working with Cal Turf made that process easier. There were a couple miscommunications but overall we really enjoyed our experience and highly recommend this company!! & we absolutely love how our backyard turned out!

The first step is reaching out to discuss your landscaping project. This can be done via phone, email, or through this website. During this stage, the team gathers initial details about your vision, needs, and budget to determine how we can best assist you.
The next step is scheduling an on-site consultation. We will visit your property to assess the space, take measurements, and discuss design ideas. This phase includes reviewing material options, outlining the project scope, and providing a quote.
After the plan is finalized, the installation and construction phase begins. During installation the project management team will provide regular updates regarding progress. Once the project is complete, a final walkthrough ensures the projects meets your expectations.
Landscaping costs vary based on the project size, materials, and labor. Basic lawn care services may start at $100–$200 per visit, while full landscape design and installation projects can range from $5,000 to $50,000 or more. Custom features like patios, retaining walls, and water features add to the overall cost.
The timeline depends on the project's complexity. Basic lawn and plant installations can take a few days, while large-scale designs, such as hardscapes and irrigation systems, may take several weeks. Weather conditions and material availability can also affect the timeline.
Some projects, like building decks, retaining walls, or irrigation systems, may require permits depending on local regulations. Your landscaping contractor can guide you through the permit process and ensure compliance with city or county codes
Spring and fall are ideal for planting, as mild temperatures help plants establish roots. Hardscaping projects, such as patios and retaining walls, can be done year-round in many regions. The best timing depends on your climate and the type of landscaping work needed.
Maintenance depends on the features installed. Lawns require mowing, fertilizing, and watering, while gardens need weeding and pruning. Hardscapes should be cleaned and inspected periodically. We can provide a customized maintenance plan to keep everything in top shape.
Consider factors like climate, soil type, sun exposure, and maintenance level. Native and drought-resistant plants are excellent choices for sustainability and water conservation. We can recommend the best plants based on your location and preferences.
Yes, quality landscaping can boost curb appeal and property value. Features like well-maintained lawns, garden beds, patios, hardscaping, water features, and outdoor lighting can increase resale value and attract buyers. Studies show landscaping can provide a return on investment of up to 150%.
Artificial turf is low-maintenance, requiring no mowing, watering, or fertilizing. It remains green year-round, is durable, and reduces water usage. It’s ideal for high-traffic areas, pet owners, and drought-prone regions. However, the upfront cost is higher than sod.
Hardscaping includes non-living elements like patios, walkways, retaining walls, and fire pits, while softscaping involves living elements like plants, trees, and flowers. A well-balanced landscape design incorporates both for aesthetic and functional appeal.
Yes, we can address drainage problems by installing French drains, grading the land, using permeable pavers, or adding rain gardens. Proper drainage prevents water pooling, soil erosion, and foundation damage.
Drip irrigation is best for gardens and flower beds, while sprinkler systems work well for lawns. Smart irrigation controllers can optimize watering schedules based on weather conditions. We can design a system to maximize efficiency and water conservation.
